1.   To prepare contrasting corners, turn each corner piece wrong side up.   With a fine point mechanical pencil or other appropriate marker, draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side of each piece.

2.   Position marked square (wrong sides together) on top of base shape, matching one end and/or corner of base shape, and positoning drawn lines for desired end result.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

3.   Stitch on drawn line.   Trim off diagonal corners, cutting ¼ʺ outside the stitching line.   Discard scraps.   Press seams open.   Trim off all “ears”.
